The breakfast selection was delicious with local dishes. the location was wonderful and excellent, just next door to Dambulla cave within walking distance. - Tourist locations around Dambulla and the city center are easily accessible. - the Golden Temple is only 3 km away.

The location was beautiful, right by quite area and tourist locations around Dambulla and easily accessible. I booked a room with a perfect bed, a dishwasher, an iron and ironing board, and a work desk. The staff members were all very nice and excellent. Actually everything was very good, my next choice again in Dambulla.

we lived in the triple room with terrace, sofa plus the perfect view. delicious breakfasts with local dishes, the staff were kind.

Stayed here for one night with a friend, and we had a great time in a clean room with a bath, welcoming staff, and a friendly host.

There is a huge variety of appetising food options for breakfast. - the staff, including the amiable and cool host, are very friendly. - the resort's location is marvelous, being very close to a beautiful lake and the bus station.

The staff at the resort were extremely friendly and welcoming, always wearing a smile. the location, right by the lake, was stunning, and the surrounding garden added to the beauty. the dinner and breakfast served were absolutely delicious, exceeding our expectations. Bandara, our tour guide, was knowledgeable and provided us with a detailed and incredible tour of Sigiria. He went above and beyond to ensure our safety and even found us when we got lost in the forest. He was the best guide and friend we've had in Sri Lanka.

What a wonderful Easter weekend getaway! The room was spacious and clean, with a big bathroom and a balcony. It was so nice to sit outside in the morning and evening, taking in the peaceful surroundings. The location was perfect, quiet yet close to the town center and a supermarket within walking distance. The highlight was definitely the beautiful lake, right in front of the property. We loved sitting on the viewing deck, soaking in the tranquility. The hosts were amazing, serving us delicious traditional Sri Lankan breakfast and offering laundry services.

There were just a couple of minor inconveniences during our stay. The fan in our room wasn't working at first, but it was quickly fixed by the attentive staff.

The value for money at Shashin Lake Resort was excellent. The room was clean, spacious, and had a lovely terrace where we could relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
